What a PI assignment costs
RIPE charges a member €75 a year for each provider-independent address assignment, on top of €1,800 for the membership — the 2026 Charging Scheme. Everything above that is the sponsor’s own price.
These are their published figures, read on 22 August 2026:
| Sponsoring LIR | PI assignment / year | Their price page |
|---|---|---|
| Bakker IT NL | €135 | check it |
| iFog CH | 99 CHF | check it |

Anchored Registry: sponsorship quoted per resource · watching your objects €0
Read from each sponsor’s own published price list on 2026-08-22, 40 days ago. iFog publishes in Swiss francs and the figures are its own, not a conversion. Only sponsors whose price page we could link are listed.
Anchored Registry quotes rather than publishing a figure, because an AS number and an address assignment do not cost the same to sponsor and one number for both would overcharge somebody.

Be told before you find out the hard way
One message if 132.176.0.0/16 changes hands or changes sponsor.
RIPE publishes only the current database and no dated archive, so this is not something you can look up later — it is only knowable if somebody was watching. Free, no account, and a way out in every message.
Verein zur Foerderung eines Deutschen Forschungsnetzes e.V. sponsors 151 resources in total. If you are weighing a move: I am Tropynin Oleg, ORG-TO334-RIPE, a RIPE member with my own autonomous system AS41800. Nothing about your routing changes and RIPE charges nothing for the transfer.
